About the role
Job Purpose
Secure technically compliant fabricated parts from capable suppliers while controlling quality, cost and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure fabricated components and welded assemblies from engineering drawings
- Assess fabrication suppliers for technical capability and capacity
- Release purchase orders and monitor manufacturing progress
- Coordinate technical clarifications with Design, Production and Quality
- Arrange pre-dispatch inspection and resolve fabrication deviations
- Develop alternate suppliers and expedite critical requirements
- Maintain procurement and ERP records

Qualification & Preferred Industry Exposure
Required qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred industry exposure: Structural fabrication, welded assemblies, frames, chassis, boom structures, sheet metal and machined fabrications.
