About the role
Job Purpose
Build a resilient, competitive domestic and international supplier base for engineered components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and supplier development across hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, fabricated and machined components
- Develop alternate sources for critical, high-value and single-source parts
- Drive localisation, value engineering, supplier consolidation and cost optimisation
- Lead techno-commercial evaluation and long-term commercial negotiations
- Assess supplier capability, quality systems, capacity, lead time and reliability
- Develop manufacturers in China and other international markets
- Coordinate supplier audits, prototypes, validation and productionisation
- Lead and develop the sourcing team

Qualification & Preferred Industry Exposure
Preferred industry exposure: Construction equipment, hydraulics, automotive, heavy engineering or industrial machinery, with proven China/global sourcing and knowledge of imports, Incoterms and landed cost.
Working Conditions / Travel
Travel for supplier identification, assessment, development and audits as required.
